One of the biggest goals of Oak Crest TV and Oak Crest Now is making sure that residents voices are heard. Be it advertising their group or organization, or expressing their views on different topics and subjects, we make sure that you are heard. That includes being heard by the Oak Crest Administration. Once a month, the community’s TV station hosts a LIVE Call-In Show featuring members of our executive team. This forum gives our residents a direct link to the Directors of the community to express their questions, comments, concerns, and compliments on the air. Continue reading →
Started in 2015, Clockin’ In with Barbara Zorn gave residents the opportunity to learn more about the people and departments that they wanted to learn more about. In the first shows, we took the time to meet the Philanthropy & Communications departments and the Dining Services Administration. The show gave you a unique look into the staff’s personal lives and the duties they perform here at Oak Crest.
In the latest episode, Barbara meets with the management teams from the three dining rooms here at Oak Crest. Lead by Paul O’Callaghan, Steve Sweeney, and Aziz Iskander, the Oak Crest Dining Rooms are responsible for feeding many of the 2,100 residents each and every day, sometimes more than once a day. So learning the various responsibilities of the dining staff members is important to understanding how the dining rooms operate.
This show will cover a variety of topics from the impact of the upcoming Signature Dining changes to the role of the student servers in keeping our residents content during their daily meals. So be sure to tune in for this episode of Clockin’ In with Barbara Zorn on Friday, February 26th at 10:00 AM with replays at 2:00 PM, 7:00 PM, 9:00 PM, and 12:00 AM only on Channel 973. The show will also be available the following day at www.oakcresttv.com.
For the last 8 years, Todd Sullivan has been the face of fundraising at Oak Crest. Todd is the originator of the Oak Crest telethon, the Dancing with the Oak Crest Stars competition, Philanthropy Phriday, and the Legacy Tree in Crestview Station. He’s become the face of Long Range Planning, Resident Satisfaction Surveys, and all three charitable funds at Oak Crest (for which he’s raised over 10 million dollars). His boundless energy, limitless creativity, and positive attitude will be sure to leave an indelible mark on Oak Crest for years to come.
Because of his numerous contributions to the community, it was bittersweet to hear that Todd’s tenure at Oak Crest was coming to an end on January 29th. Todd will be taking his talents to The John Carroll School in Bel Air, MD. Todd is ready to help John Carroll pursue its mission just as he’s helped Oak Crest do the same since 2007.
“John Carroll’s mission is one that goes beyond the classroom and teaches students not only how to make a living, but also how to live,” he said. “To have the opportunity to lead the advancement efforts as way to continue the tradition of John Carroll’s mission, celebrate those who have come before and help ensure a solid future, is an honor. It is an exciting time to be part of the John Carroll family.”
As a tribute to Todd, Josh Runkles will be sitting down with Todd on Oak Crest Now to talk about his time at Oak Crest and some of his favorite moments from the last eight years. This show will air on Friday, January 29th at 10:00 AM. The show will re-air on 2:00 PM, 7:00 PM, 9:00 PM, and 12:00 AM. It will also be available the following day at www.oakcresttv.com.
Oak Crest TV would like to wish Todd (and his whole family) good luck in the new endeavor and let him know that he’s always a welcome guest on Oak Crest Now!
