These days are ours
Happy and free! (Oh Happy Days)

….So sit back and relax, because you’re about to travel through 50 years of television!

This past month, Community Resources teamed up with the Philanthropy Department, The TV Studio, and team of one, Jeff Getek, to create something that is going to blow everyone away: A 2018 Resident Calendar.

So what does that mean exactly? Take a look at the picture below:

Do you recognize those faces? Those are your fellow Oak Crest Residents acting as characters from the ever popular TV Show, Gilligan’s Island!

For 2018, an idea popped up about creating a calendar full of popular TV shows, using our residents as characters. And let me tell you, this was no small project.

Nadine Wellington, Josh Runkles, Stacey Schiano, and Jeff Getek had multiple meetings about how to approach this idea to create something so special to Oak Crest.

First, they needed to establish which TV Shows would be showcased. Then, which residents most closely resembled the characters in those TV shows. Next, the costumes, the makeup, the hair, the poses, etc! Months and months of planning that resulted in 3 days of photo shoots, hours of editing, and many, many, many revisions, to create one amazing calendar.

It was incredible to see how each resident transformed into their character when they walked into the studio. I had so much fun taking their pictures because they were having so much fun! For those few minutes, we got to travel back in time to when that TV show took place and really bring that to life.

Below are some behind the scene shots that were taken during the photo shoots.
