This past week the city of Houston experienced what many are calling one of the worst disasters in Texas history; Hurricane Harvey.
This is the first major hurricane of 2017, causing more destruction and upset than anyone could have imagined. So far, there have been 39 confirmed deaths and thousands of houses completely destroyed. Recover from this hurricane is expected to take many years.
On Thursday, August 7th, Josh Runkles and Jeff Getek sit down to discuss what happened in Texas and the effects the storm has on Eagles Trace. In case many residents are unaware, there is an Erickson Community in Houston, named Eagles Trace. Thankfully, this community did not undergo flooding, but they were still right in the midst of everything. Many employees could not get back to their house because the roads were too flooded to drive.
Eagles Trace has been in contact with Corporate and many other members of the Erickson Community throughout the entire catastrophe. I think this is something that makes Erickson so special; no matter what the circumstance, no matter where, members of Erickson will be there to support them in any way they can.

Make sure you tune into Channel 973 on Thursday, August 7th to find out more specific details and how Houston will rebuild. The episode will also be available the following day at oakcresttv.com.
