Robbie Furman, the manager of Erickson Advantage for Charlestown retirement community, is always full of surprises, especially when it comes to his twisting balloons. He constantly delights residents and staff who are “children of all ages” with his balloon creations that depict people – real and fictional – and a wide range of animals and pop culture characters.

He has been working with balloons for over 20 years, and his original designs and techniques have become a mainstay for many balloon designers and artists around the world.

Ever since he was a young boy, Robbie has known that twisting balloons was what he wished to do for the rest of his life. Now he has had the chance to share his love of balloons and knowledge with those around the world; teaching them his deco-twisting style.

His designs have been featured on many popular television shows such as, ABC’s All My Children, One Life to Live, Live with Regis and Kelly, Ugly Betty, and Good Morning America.

Robbie’s amazing balloon designs — from arches to an out-of-this-world life-size car that a person can actually sit in – are now found at Charlestown and other retirement communities nationwide managed by Erickson Living. He often teaches residents and staff the wondrous craft of twisting balloons.

Learn more about Robbie, his ballooning skills, and his dedication to the health and well being of Oak Crest residents when he appears on Oak Crest Now on Wednesday, August 24th at 10:00 AM.
