Reading is a great way for your brain to stay alert…which is why the Oak Crest Book Club is the perfect thing to get involved with!

This is a great group filled with residents who love talking about the book of the month and hearing others opinions. It’s a very relaxed environment, and they encourage everyone to come out to listen and join in on the conversation, even if you haven’t read the book.

During the interview, you will hear what each resident has to say about the book they read. Now we don’t want to give too much away, so it will just be the highlights! If you want to find out what happens you will have to read it!

Dr. Carla Hayden, CEO of the Enoch Pratt Free Library, was inspiration for the books chosen for the months of July and August. Some of the titles include American Housewife: Stories by Ellen Ellis, Opening Belle by Maureen Sherry, Women Who Read Are Dangerous by Stefan Bollman and Karen Jay Fowler, and  Year of Yes: How to Dance It Out, Stand in the Sun and Be Your Own Person by Shonda Rhimes.

The July Book Club Meeting was held on July 26th, but do not worry if you missed it! There is another meeting on August 23rd at 10AM in the Crestview Classroom.

This show airs on Friday, July 29th at 10AM, 2PM, 7PM, 9PM, and 12AM. You can also head to oakcresttv.com the following day to watch the program online. Happy Reading!
