This past weekend I took a trip up to New Jersey with Kayla Coulson and Tina Moskunas to check out the newest ship, the Anthem of the Seas. This was the first time the ship has been in the United States after touring in Europe for several months. It was amazing to see how many activities there were on the ship for passengers to partake in. We know residents will love it!

We started in the two-seventy lounge which is the huge theater like room where many shows are performed during the night. They have virtual screens that fall from the ceiling that have pictures and scenery that make you feel like you’re in a completely different place. There is also a café where you can grab a bite to eat while you enjoy the show.

After walking around the cruise ship for a bit, we then headed to the solarium, which had an amazing view of the entire New York City skyline. There was a giant swing inside that was decorated in sequins along with multiple chairs so you could lounge in the water. There was also a bar filled with a wide array of beverages and snacks. This was a popular room for our group because it was under cover, so even if it was raining, you would still be able to enjoy the pool, the view, and the plants.

All the food on the ship is paid for ahead of time, so you don’t have to worry about paying for meals…unless you want to eat at a few specific fancier restaurants or decide to drink alcoholic beverages. Between the huge rock wall for kids to climb on, the north star which is a giant arm that takes you up above the cruise ship, and so many pools and dining rooms, you will always have something to do!

To find out more about the cruise ship, visit www.royalcarribean.com/anthemoftheseas and watch The Travel Corner on Monday, March 28th at 10AM, 2PM, 7PM, 9PM, and 12AM. The program will also be available on oakcresttv.com the following day.
